John Becanic

Managing Partner, Co-Founder
After stepping away from a successful coaching career that spanned over 30 years. In 2016 John a pioneer in Hockey IQ development founded Pyramid Hockey. In 2018 he and Michael Zucker Co-Founded TPE. As managing partner of The Prospect Exchange, John oversees the day-to-day operations and new business. John and his wife Rhonda reside in Mesa, AZ, and have two daughters, Brooklyn and Sheridan.

Michael Zucker

Michael has been developing custom software and coaching hockey for over 20 years. He is also the co-founder of Bench Metrics, which provides hockey analytics products used both by NHL teams and hundreds of other coaches across North America and Europe. Michael and his wife Tina reside in London, UK with their three children, Sophia, Maddie, and Jackson

Nathan Bowen

Born in Ontario, the game of hockey took Nathan to the University of Alabama-Huntsville where he played 4 years of NCAA hockey at the University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH), winning the Division II National Championship in 1998 while captaining the team. Prior to graduating with a degree in Finance and later his MBA from UAH in 2002, Bowen was the recipient of the President’s Award, given to the top athlete at UAH based on academic, community and athletic performance, as well as the Dr. Jeanne Fisher Award, the Civic Service award and the Iwin/McGraw-Hill Finance service award. Following his time as a student at UAH, Bowen has accumulated over 30 years of coaching, instruction and hockey leadership experience including four years serving as the UAH Hockey Assistant Coach. Currently, Bowen resides in Killen, AL with his wife Heather, daughter Bailey and son Mac.

Taso Sofikitis

Taso Sofikitis is an Investing Partner at TPH & TPE as well as the CEO and President of Maynards Group of Companies. Taso is originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Taso was a defenseman for the UAH hockey team that won the Division II Hockey National Championship in 1996. During that season, Taso racked up 41 points (11G-30A) in 29 games.

Justin Johnson

Johnson is the founder of MEGA Goaltending - a Midwest based goalie training and resource company that works with goalies, coaches and associations of all sizes and skill levels. Johnson is also owner of Minnesota-based training and guidance companies FHIT Hockey and its prestigious programs The MAP and R4. Justin played his college hockey at the University of Minnesota where he also served as goalie coach for 8 seasons. Johnson resides in Brooklyn Park with his wife Ashley and their three children, Payton Zoey and Jack.

Aaron Klichell

Chief Financial Officer
Aaron joined the TPE team after 16 years running accounting and finance departments in businesses ranging from small private companies to multinational fortune 300 companies. In addition to his professional experience, Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Oregon where he also played soccer. Aaron and his wife Shirley reside in Bend, Or and have one son Braxtyn, and two daughters, Brystol and Braelyn.
